I designed and illustrated the 2015 Program for Princeton University’s Class Day, an annual tradition in which the graduating senior class selects speakers from its ranks and a celebrity guest speaker to celebrate the class’s accomplishments.
The Class of 2015 selected Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan, and since Batman went to Princeton, the program’s cover features the hero’s iconic mask cheekily tossed up alongside tasseled mortarboards. Spot illustrations of buildings from each of Princeton’s six residential colleges are sprinkled throughout the program. In addition to printing nearly 2,000 copies of the program, the University selected the cover to be printed as a poster and distributed to graduating seniors.
I was also selected to give a humorous speech at the event, published in full by Princeton Alumni Weekly. The speech can also be viewed below.
